Although there are no founding members left in the group, today's Drifters have evolved over the years to continue the legend. The group that was formed in 1956 was a vehicle for top talent to drift in and out of, showcasing over 100 performers. In fact, over 50 singers have recorded with the Drifters' 18 hit records.
